Having A Check Up

April 25th, 2008 by admin

My sister came up to me crying one day because of a problem. His husband is sick and she worry a lot because his husband still don’t get well. He complains a lot of pain on one side of his body and there are rashes too. I told her to go to the nearest health care institution to check for the developing rash to diagnose what disease is causing the rash on his face. I come with him to the doctor and his husband was examined and there the doctor told us that what caused the rash and the symptoms her husband is complaining is what the doctor calls Herpes Zoster or the more popular term is Shingles. He told us that it is the same thing that causes our Chickenpox. They are on the same family of viruses and so on. After the conference with the doctor he gave us valtrex to treat the symptoms of the disease. I asked the doctor why the symptoms are the only one he mentioned and he said that the disease is viral and it is self-limiting so the real problem is the complaints of the patient which is the pain and the rashes and those were the symptoms. Written in the valtrex prescription pad is the instructions on how he will take it and how many times a day he will. So we went to the nearest drugstore and bought some more valtrex medication and went home to start medicating.
